BOCADILLOS EN LA CALLE - AYUDA A PERSONAS SIN HOGAR (SIN TECHO)
El proyecto “Bocadillos en la calle”, tiene como finalidad última luchar contra la exclusión social de las Personas Sin Hogar (PSH), a la par que se sensibiliza a la sociedad sobre esta dura realidad a la que con frecuencia se da la espalda.
Como actividad principal del proyecto se realizan salidas todos los domingos (con una duración de dos/tres horas aproximadamente). El punto de encuentro es la boca de metro de la plaza de Callao, y desde allí nos repartimos en rutas por el distrito Centro de Madrid, con el objetivo de acompañar a las personas sin hogar. En cada salida tratamos de ofrecer además de bebida caliente y comida (cada uno lleva lo que puede: bocadillos, fruta, zumos, etc.) calor humano y compañía, al tiempo que conocer las necesidades de las Personas Sin Hogar y situación, para hacernos eco de ello en los foros competentes.Perfil/RequisitosTodas las personas interesadas en seguir el desarrollo del proyecto o en participar en él como voluntarios pueden entrar en el grupo de correo electrónico que SCI ha creado. Los miembros del grupo podrán mantenerse informados sobre la marcha del proyecto y estar en contacto con el resto de voluntarios. On 25 June, G8 leaders will meet to sign on to a new maternal and child health initiative to help the 8.8 million children and 300,000 women who still die each year from preventable illness, childbirth and pregnancy.
In many places these deaths could be prevented simply by giving these women the support of a trained community healthworker.
No mother about to give birth or caring for a sick child should be without support.
I just signed a petition asking the G8 to make sure they agree to train 3.5 million healthworkers as part of their new initiative to help mothers and children.
